KJR Transmitter Building, 1925

KJR's new brick transmitter building at 15th Avenue Northeast and NE 185th Street, 1925.  Vincent Kraft built two other stations in the Northwest - KGA in Spokane, and KEX in Portland.  All three installations were probably nearly identical in design, each with custom-built transmitters said to be rated at 20,000 watts, although they never operated at that capacity.  The photo below is KGA in Spokane, which had an apparently identical transmitter building.
