KJR Pianist, 1928

A KJR pianist, probably Mabel Mohrajan, is seen performing in Studio B in the Home Savings Building, about 1928.  The studio was hung in heavy draperies for control of acoustics, but it also had the comfortable appointments of a 1920s living room to help put nervous performers at ease.  The only radio devices in the room were the microphone and announcer’s control desk in the corner.   (MOHAI photo)
