KOMO Control Room, 1927

This was the KOMO master control room in the Cobb Building, Seattle - about 1927.  The Western Electric equipment includes audio amplifiers, volume controls for the studio microphones, a volume level monitoring panel, and a patch panel to select the audio sources.  The telegraph keys and sounder at lower left was probably used to communicate with the transmitter and/or NBC network via telegraph land lines.  (MOHAI photo)
