KFUU, San Leandro
Another
obscure Bay Area station was KFUU in San Leandro. which went on the air
March 29, 1925, operated by the Colburn Radio Laboratories. But after
just six months of operation, the license was sold to Matthewson Motors
at 3024 Broadway in Oakland. It broadcast recorded music three days a
week for only a few hours a day, and by the following July its license
had been voluntarily surrendered. This studio photo from
