AltText

'For the first time in radio history, four news experts are participating in a regularly-scheduled program. Four different phases of news - international and national affairs, sports and events of interest to women - are reported each Sunday by the experts at 5:15 PM EDST, over the NBC-Blue Network. Entitled 'Four Stars News', the programs are sponsored by Palmer Brothers Co., makers of mattresses and comfortables. L-R: Graham McNamee, who has covered national activities for radio listeners since 1922; Bill Stern, NBC's ace sports announcer; Nola Luxford, well known women's commentator, and Baukage, Washington observer for NBC, who comments on the international scene.' - NBC photo, 8-16-1939
